Departments
The Clerk/Treasurer is the Chief Fiscal Officer and provides overall management supervision to the Clerk/Treasurer's Office.
The duties of Clerk include maintaining custody of the Village seal, books and records, preparing & preserving the minutes of meetings, and maintaining resolutions & local legislation. The Clerk is designated the Records Management Officer, Records Access Officer, Election Officer, Human Resource Officer, Fair Housing Officer, Licensing Officer and responsible for Oath of Office.
The Treasurer assists the Mayor in developing a spending plan known as the annual operating budget. The Treasurer is also responsible for investments, debt management, payment of vendor claims & payroll, bank deposits and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
The Clerk/Treasurer is also the Tax Collector.
